Oh dear creatures of my creation
You plead with the earnest of my protection.
You ask me to come and meet you;
To help you,
To allow yourselves to serve me,
To have the honour of God at thy place.
But I have come already,
I have visited each and every house;
But you did not see me,
You did not recognize me,
As I stared into your face and you into mine,
You did not feed me with food you have in your prayer shrine,
But with insecticides, blows, brooms and all things,
For I do not come in the form of divinity
For the sake of humanity,
For you would hurt others for my sake.
I came as a human beggar,
But you ill-treated me
You served me with blows.
I came as a dog, cat,
But you threw me out with your brooms.
I came as a species of wildcat,
But you tried to kill me.
I came as cattle,
But you charged me away.
I came as a bird,
But you tried to shoot me for your food.
I say these lines not to tell you that I shall never return
But to convey my message of ‘be good to all that lives’.
For that only shows true hospitality to me.
For I am present in all,
Present in all that lives
And I may come in my divine form when the time is ripe.
